Donation to Elkhorn Village Elementary School

In July 2020 Humboldt Sawmill and Allweather Wood donated heart redwood to build garden beds at the Elkhorn Village Elementary School in West Sacramento. Elkhorn Village Elementary proudly serves over 600 students, with over 90% of students qualifying for the free school meal program. Within a seven month time period the school has distributed over 2 tons (that's over 4,000 pounds!) of veggies to the children of Elkhorn Village. This is especially heartwarming during these times of COVID and school closures, as children and families have been able to rely on this essential service of fresh fruits and vegetables.
